The Nike Overbreak SP “Dark Beetroot” is a May 2021 edition of the progressive lifestyle shoe by Nike. The Overbreak’s distinctly modern style is informed by Nike’s classic Daybreak running shoe and, on the “Dark Beetroot,” the colorway features a unique design quirk that is commonly associated with red suede shoes: bleeding. The beetroot hue that appears on the suede overlays found on the toe and heel appears to be “bleeding” onto the shoe’s exaggerated, cream Nike React midsole. In fact, the midsole is actually painted with this gradient look to mimic the bleeding effect. Nike dresses the nylon base and nylon tongue, as well as the inner lining, in the same Dark Beetroot hue as the previously mentioned suede panels. An oversized black leather Swoosh can be found on either side. The thick rope laces feature black, red, and pink striping. Release date: May 6, 2021
